Midwinter, or the Winter Solstice, is one of our oldest and most important festivals, dating back tens of thousands of years. The day of Midwinter (usually around the 21st December) is the day when we experience the shortest day and longest night of the year, meaning that from this point on, the nights are ebbing backwards, and the days start to get longer.
A candle to bring light to the darkest of days. Light to banish negative energy, bring joy, recognise your limitless potential and welcome the return of lighter days with open arms.
