Beautiful hand made boho-chic reversible jacket to bring a pop of colour to your wardrobe.

This particular one has a colourful tropical floral design featuring a bird of paradise on a black background. There are square patch pockets on this side with covered buttons whereas the other side is a more muted monochrome design without pockets but it does have cute wooden buttons and lovely French seams, sleeve cuff slits so you can show off the other design and small slits at the waist sides.

The jacket is fully reversible with an exquisite floral/ethnic style pattern hand block print motif on each side.

The fabric for the jackets is hand block printed on soft 100% organic cotton. A very small number are loving hand created in each pattern. You are unlikely to find someone else that has the same jacket.

Sturdy enough to be worn every day, this fashionable jacket is a rather versatile garment that is a must have for your wardrobe. Or it would make a thoughtful present for someone special.

This design is Available only in a size S which will happily fit 8-10

armpit to armpit 19.5” will fit 34-36” bust as the fabric is quilted & made of cotton so there will be some natural shrinkage after a wash

- Bust: 36 in / 91.5 cm
- Waist: 32 / 81 cm
- Hips: 40 in / 101.5 cm

The jacket designs are inspired by the traditional Indian & Mughal motifs and patterns.

They are hand block printed for us by hereditary artisans from Jaipur, India, using traditional artisanal methods that not only achieve a high quality product but also help preserve an ancient craft that is at risk of extinction.
These artisanal methods are neither quick nor cheap. However, they are fun & wonderful for the environment. The cotton fabrics they are made from were printed by hand and 'sun cured' in the time honoured way - days under the Rajasthan desert sun rather than for a few minutes in electric devices.

ABOUT HAND BLOCK PRINTING
An ancient technique used since at least the 5th century. Intricately carved wood blocks, dipped in pigment colours are expertly pressed on the fabric. Each separate colour in the print requires its own block.

Every step of the process including hand carving the blocks, mixing pigments to achieve the desired colour & stamping the fabric requires artistry, skill and patience.

Due to the nature of hand block printing, minor variations in print & colour are inherent to the process and contribute to the beauty & uniqueness of the print. Indeed no two pieces are exactly alike. Unlike with machine made products these are not considered defects.

CARE:
- Machine wash with cold water on gentle cycle.
- Use gentle detergents.
- Air dry or tumble dry at low temperature.
- Iron if needed at moderate temperature.
- Pigments bleed a little as compared to chemical dyes. It is recommended to wash separately the 1st time
